  1. Baltoro glacier

The amazing Baltoro glacier is located in the Shigar district of Baltistan It stretches for 63 km (39 mi) in length. It is one of the longest glaciers outside the polar regions. It is home to some of the world’s highest mountains. It runs through the Karakoram mountain range, close to K2, the second-highest peak in the world, reaching an elevation of 8,611 meters (28,251 feet). Within a 20-kilometer radius, there are three more mountains with elevations exceeding 8,000 meters.

3. Eight thousanders

You get to see 4 eight thousand-meter peaks once you have reached Concordia you get to see Broad Peak 8,051 meters, the 12th highest peak in the world, and K2 8,611m second biggest mountain in the world after Mount Everest in Nepal 1 day trek from Concordia you reach to the basecamp of Gashabrum 1 8080m and Gashabrum 2 8040m, which are 11th and 13th highest peaks in the world, so get to see 4 of the world 8 thousand meter peaks in the world

4. Magical Concordia

Around the 7th or 8th day you will reach the magical Concordia campsite where you see k2 for the first time and where the best view of the mountain is, I believe it looks more beautiful to it full from Concordia rather than the K2 basecamp, the campsite is on the Baltoro glacier its the center of going to the k2 basecamp and broad peak basecamp to the north to the east Gashabrum basecamp and to the south to  Mitre peak, Chogolisa, and Gondogoro pass and in the west you see far away the nameless towers, and the Trango towers, so you have great views in every direction and to near south you are in the shadow of Mitre peak, famous for its esthetical shape

5. Meeting the best climbers from around the world at k2 basecamp

K2 basecamp is one of the busiest basecamps in the Karakoram during the season, you are most likely to meet some of the best climbers who attempting the savage mountain you have a chance to hang out with them and listen to their adventurous stories from their climbs, during the season around 300 400 climbers come to climb and the base camp is full of aspiring climbers and also experienced some of the best alpinists around the world because k2 is dream climb for any high altitude climber

6. The Gondogoro la

Gondogoro Pass is a mountain pass that stands at 5585 meters. It is located in the Baltistan region of Pakistan, approximately 25 km south of the world’s second-highest peak, K2. This pass serves as a connection between the Gondogoro Glacier to the southwest and the Vigne Glacier to the northeast, i think the real difficulty lies in crossing the Gondogoro la Pass most trekkers face altitude problems the pass is almost 5600m which is higher than any mountain in Europe, but the reward of getting to pass is immense it is one of a lifetime experience the views from the pass are exceptional and once you start to descend you at the beautiful Laila peak basecamp which one of the most beautiful mountains in the world, you no longer need to trek on the glacier the other side is green and full of water it is a fitting reward for doing a big mountain pass

7. You become like a family on the k2 experience

Starting from Islamabad to Skardu and then to Askole doing a 14-day trek together in some of the surreal landscapes, people from different countries and continents experiencing the magic of mountains you become like a family and you make decisions like a team, trekking together for such a long time you become friends forever, camping together eating together enduring difficult times on the adventure, that’s my experience some of the people I have trekked with they add to you as a person you never forget this experience together it stays in the memory for a long long time
