Hunza valley



Autumn is my favorite season of all when all the trees change colors the Hunza valley has never looked before, where ever you go the leaves turn to gold as the whole valley has come to life, some of my favorite places to go in autumn in Hunza are Kha Basi the beautiful green garden surrounded by the different kind of trees the place is a paradise by itself, and walking in the alleyways of Karimabad where kids play in the beautiful autumn colors is a memorable experience, if you go to the duiker viewpoint you see all of hunza green and yellow the place does come to life.
kharamabad(Passu)

A beautiful small settlement in upper Hunza on the opposite side of the main Passu, it has not been known to the mainstream traveller but Kharamabad settlement in Passu is a hidden gem it is a place where few people go because the Passu Bridge is the scariest bridge of all, but there is another route from the Hussaini bride and half our hike from the other side of the bridge you reach a summer settlement called kharamabad, if you go in autumn you see the real beauty of the place is full of trees huts and cows giving it a real fairy tale feeling to it, as if you are in the movie you always leave speechless visiting it in autumn
Hoper valley

Hoper Valley lies in the Nagar Valley an hour’s drive from Ganish Hunza Hooper Valley is usually known by travelers for the Hooper Glacier and Rush Lake trek but the valley has more to offer, generally in summer it is full of trekkers, and visitors but when it is November when there are fewer people you get to interact more with the locals and see the beautiful valley to its fullest it amazing views of the ultra peak the lady finger where in autumn the light shines the brighter than usual, the place comes to even more life in my opinion during the autumn season with beautiful colors and amazing views
Garam chasma

Garam Chashma, located in the Chitral District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, is known for its natural hot springs and stunning mountain scenery. Visiting Garam Chashma in autumn is a magical experience. The valley bursts into shades of gold, amber, and crimson as the trees lining the hillsides transition for the season. The crisp air combined with warm sunlight makes it perfect for sightseeing and photography. The natural hot springs, rich in minerals, are soothing, especially as the weather cools. Many visitors enjoy bathing in the springs, which are believed to have healing properties. With the Hindukush mountains towering in the background and the clear, blue sky, the scenery is breathtaking. The rivers and streams remain lively, with the autumn foliage reflecting on their surfaces.
Booni (Chitral)

The entire valley transforms into a canvas of warm colors—golden poplars, amber walnut trees, and deep red apricot leaves. Chunda valley

a hidden gem that becomes stunning in autumn. This lesser-known valley offers a peaceful escape with mesmerizing views and vibrant foliage The valley turns into a breathtaking tapestry of colors, golden poplars, deep red apricots, and orange-hued walnut trees line the paths. The contrast between the autumn leaves and the snow-capped peaks in the background is magical. Chunda Valley offers one of the best panoramic views of the entire Skardu city and the Indus River below. In autumn, the soft golden light and clear skies make these views even more spectacular. The crisp autumn air and mild temperatures make it perfect for trekking. You can take easy walks through the valley, enjoying the crunch of fallen leaves underfoot and the serene sounds of nature.
Basho valley

Known for its lush meadows, towering pine forests, and crystal-clear streams, Basho Valley offers a serene and colorful retreat during the fall season. Here’s what makes Basho Valley in autumn unforgettable: The valley transforms into a golden wonderland with yellow and amber poplar trees, crimson apricot leaves, and deep orange walnut trees carpeting the landscape. The contrast with the evergreen pine forests and snow-capped peaks is mesmerizing. The lush meadows, now touched with golden hues, remain vibrant under the soft autumn sunlight. The Basho River, with its crystal-clear, glacial waters, flows gently through the valley, reflecting the warm colors of fall. The mild autumn weather is ideal for exploring. Trekking routes through pine forests, across wooden bridges, and along winding mountain trails are peaceful and rewarding, with panoramic views of the valley and surrounding peaks
Shigar fort

The fort is surrounded by golden poplars, red apricot trees, and orange walnut leaves, creating a stunning contrast against the fort’s rustic stone and wood architecture. The fort’s garden, filled with centuries-old trees, becomes a peaceful retreat covered in a blanket of fallen leaves. The backdrop of snow-dusted peaks and the Shigar River adds to the fort’s charm. The clear autumn skies and warm golden light make it an ideal time for sightseeing and photography.
Phander valley

Phander Valley is a stunning gem in the Ghizer district of Gilgit-Baltistan. Autumn in Phander Valley is a magical experience, where the landscape transforms into a canvas of warm, vibrant colors.
During autumn (mid-September to November), the valley becomes a spectacle of golden, amber, and crimson hues as the poplar and apricot trees shed their leaves. The turquoise waters of the Phander Lake mirror the fiery colors of the trees, creating a breathtaking contrast with the surrounding snow-capped peaks.
The crisp, cool air and the rustling of leaves add to the peaceful ambiance, making it a perfect time for nature lovers, photographers, and adventurers. You can enjoy leisurely walks along the lakeshore, visit the charming villages, or simply immerse yourself in the tranquility of this hidden paradise.
