Fairy Meadows Trek offers the adventure of a lifetime in just 5 days. It offers a drive along the Indus River, a small hike, a view of Nanga Parbat (8126m), a clear view of stars, and short hikes into meadows through the small valleys of the Diamer district. Fairy Meadows Trek starts with a jeep ride from Raikot Bridge to Tatu Village. The first stop of the trek is Chilas, a city located in the region of Gilgit-Baltistan.
There are three ways to reach Chilas for the Fairy Meadows Trek, the first one and most feasible in terms of exploring scenic beauty is via NaranKaghan. It takes about 10-12 hrs to reach Chilas via Naran-Kaghan and Babusar Top. The second option is via Karakoram Highway. Babusar Top is closed due to heavy snowfall in winter from November to May, so the alternate route that adventurers take is via Karakoram Highway through Mansehra, Besham, and Kohistan regions. This route takes about 14-16 hours from Islamabad. The third option is to take a one-hour flight from Islamabad to Gilgit and a 2-3 hour drive to Chilas by road.
The best time to do this trek is in April-September, the greenery of the meadows with snow on the top of the mountains takes you close to nature, away from hectic urban life.
