The Karakoram Range, including iconic mountains like:

K2: often referred to as the “Savage Mountain” also known as Mount Godwin-Austen or Chogori, is the second-highest mountain in the world, Its majestic peak is located in the Karakoram Range of the Himalayas, mount the border between Pakistan and China.

Nanga Parbat: Nanga Parbat earned its nickname, the “Killer Mountain,” is the ninth highest mountain in the world. It is located in the westernmost part of the Himalayas, in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan.

Rakaposhi: Rakaposhi is renowned for its elegant and symmetrical pyramid shape, making it one of the most visually stunning peaks in the Karakoram Range.The name “Rakaposhi” is derived from the local Wakhi language, meaning “Shining Wall” or “Snow Covered.”

Altit fort: Altit Fort served as the residence of the hereditary rulers of Hunza, known as the Mirs.Altit Fort, believed to be over 900 years old, is one of the oldest surviving forts in the region.

Baltit fort: Originally built as a palace for the Mirs of Hunza.

Today, Baltit Fort serves as a museum, offering exhibits on the history, culture, and traditions of the Hunza Valley.

Itinerary

Day 1: Lahore to Skardu

Take direct Flight from Lahore to Skardu travel. Take direct Flight from Lahore to Skardu travel. Meet & greet with driver & transfer to private Prados. Check your accomodation and freshen up after a one hour journey. Move towards Upper Kachura Lake with a short Trek of 20 minutes. Spend the evening time by exploring Skardu valley. Overnight stay in Skardu.

Day 2: Shangrila Lake and Shigar Fort

Visit beautiful Shangrila Lake which is alluring the tourists. Enjoy a boat ride on its green blue water. Explore and enjoy the unique beauty of Soq Valley for half an hour. Explore Shigar Fort, an ancient architectural marvel. Return to Skardu for an evening relaxation. Overnight Stay in Skardu.

Day 3: Adventure in Skardu

Adventure activities such as trekking, paragliding, or river rafting. Jeep Safari to Explore Deosai Plain - Sheosar Lake. Transfer to Jeeps to off road track to Deosai Skardu. Explore flora & fauna of Deosai Plain Skardu. Short stay at picturesque Sheosar Lake. Photography & Sightseeing of Kala Pani & Bara Pani. Travel back to Hotel & overnight stay in Skardu.

Day 4: Depart for Central Hunza.

Start your journey towards Hunza Valley. Short stay at mother of mist lofty Rakaposhi View Point. Check into your hotel and fresh up after a long drive. Overnight stay in Hunza.

Day 5: Explore Central Hunza

Visit medieval Altit Fort (700 years old) or Baltit Fort (900 years old) Hunza. Explore Altit Fort and Ganesh Village. Visit Eagle's Nest viewpoint for extensive views of Hunza Valley. Attend a traditional Hunza dinner with local delicacies. Overnight stay in Karimabad.

Day 6: Upper Hunza

Breakfast at a Hotel. Visit breathtaking & vivid Attabad Lake along with different water sports. Crossover to the hanging Hussaini Suspension Bridge over Hunza River. Visit Borith lake. Sightseeing needle-like Passu & glacial Shispare Peak with Glaciers View. Overnight stay in a hotel with a beautiful view in Hunza.

Day 7: Visit Naltar Lakes on 4 x 4 Jeep Ride

Breakfast at Hotel Move towards Gilgit city. Day trip to Naltar Valley known for its lush greenery, colorful lakes and ski slopes. Enjoy activities like hiking and photography. Return to Gilgit for a night stay.

Day 8: Travel back to Hometown

Fly back to Islamabad. Catch your flight taking memories of your enriching experiences in Hunza and Skardu.

Lower Kachura is a paradise wrapped by immense mountains. By air to Skardu 4 – 5 days needed to visit tourist destinations of Skardu Valley but 8 days are enough to visit both Hunza and Skardu.

Skardu cost depends on the number of days, vehicle type and hotel category. Usually, Rs.25000 – Rs.30,000 per head price in group tour departure every weekend with all inclusive services.
