The Autumn tour to Hunza is a must-do experience in Pakistan. This is the time of the year when the weather is pleasant and you can visit all the major landmarks in Hunza. The colors of autumn bloom in Hunza and around making it a surreal landscape.
Hunza in autumn is stunning! The weather tends to be pleasant during the day with temperatures ranging from around 10 to 20 degrees Celsius (50 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit). The foliage changes to beautiful hues of gold and red, creating a breathtaking landscape against the backdrop of the majestic mountains.
Attabad Lake turns into a majestic blue color and looks surreal. Most of the hiking destinations are open. The area is less crowded, unlike the peak vacation season which starts in May and ends usually in September.
Hence, this is the best time of the year to visit Hunza.
Autumn in Hunza usually starts in the Second Week of October. The peak Autumn falls in 3rd Week and it lasts till Mid November.
The best time to visit Hunza is generally from April to October when the weather is pleasant and all the travel destinations are open. However from June to August, a large number of domestic tourists visit Hunza on vacations so if you wish to visit in a less crowded season, you can travel before or after the peak season.
Hunza valley has all four seasons and each season has its own charm:
Spring (April to May): The weather is pleasant, flowers are in bloom, and fruit orchards are vibrant, making it a beautiful time to visit.
Summer (June to September): This is the peak tourist season with warmer temperatures, clear skies, and access to high mountain passes like Khunjerab Pass. However, it can get crowded during this time.
Autumn (October to November): The landscape transforms into stunning shades of gold and red, offering breathtaking views. The weather remains pleasant in early autumn but gets colder towards November.
Winter (December to March): It's cold, with temperatures dropping below freezing, but if you enjoy snow and want a quieter, more serene experience, this could be the time for you. The snow-covered peaks and frozen lakes create a magical scene.
Choose the time based on your preferences - whether it's the blossoms of spring, the warmer weather of summer, the fall colors, or the snowy landscapes of winter.
